When we were brainstorming ideas for Halloween, Jen had the idea of “Bugs & Kisses” and I thought it was precious! This is such an easy Halloween Treat Bag idea and we wanted to share.
Here, we have it shown with a jar, but this can easily be done with clear cello bags tied with a ribbon or yarn (I like the idea of using yarn to tie them, especially for the boys). We found the “bugs” (spider rings) at a pharmacy store for less than a dollar for a good size bag. This treat bag would be a fun one to put together with the kids. I could barely get the bag in the door before my little one opened up the spider rings to play with them. This one is bound to be a hit for the kids… chocolate and bugs, what more could you ask for?!
You can purchase our “Bugs & Kisses” tags on our website:
And we’ve had several requests for an orange background for girls,
so we’ve added an orange gingham option as well:

I have a super cute Construction Party to show you today!
Jen’s little boy turned 3 not long ago and she threw the cutest party for him.
Jen’s neighborhood clubhouse was the perfect location for the party with the sand volleyball court for the kiddos to play with their dump trucks. Lunch was served in brown paper bags with cute stickers we made to keep the bags closed. The children ate lunch on the “road” Jen made by taking black plastic tablecloths and adding yellow tape stripes down the center. I also like her “debris” trash bag. Jen doesn’t leave any detail out when planning a party!
- Table made with sawhorses
- Food for adults served in Toy Dump Truck
- Hard hats & aprons for the little guests
-Hard hat chocolates on top of the cupcakes
Where you can find these party supplies:
- Water Bottle Labels
- Cupcake Wrappers
-Lunch Bag Stickers
-Party Favor Stickers
-Aprons (Home Depot Kids’ Workshops)
-Hard Hat Cupcake Chocolates
-Thank you Notes
I just loved this party! So cute and so perfect for a little boy!
We also have a few extra goodies on our website that are perfect for Valentine’s gift wrapping & parties: Raffia, Cupcake Wrappers, Balloons and fun stripey or polka dot straws! So how about we end the week with a fun giveaway?!
You could win the items shown in the photo above: two rolls of Raffia (one red & one pink), a set of our pink stripe cupcake wrappers, one set of our red polka dot straws and a set of red balloons with white dots! So cute! Enter to win below and we’ll announce the winner on Tuesday!
Have a great weekend!
I love this sweet little Valentine. Goldfish crackers are a popular snack for little ones, so it is a nice little treat and not filled with chocolate and sugar! Fill a bag with Goldfish and tie up with a ribbon and our tags or stickers!
These goodie bags are o’FISH’ally one of my favorite picks for treat bags for kids!
Have a great day!
This Valentine tutorial gives you two ideas: one if you have our tags and one for stickers.
Beary Glad You’re My Friend Valentine Tutorial
Here’s what you need:
- Raffia, Twine or Ribbon
- Hole Punch
- Clear Cello or Brown Paper Bags
- Our Bear Valentine Tags or Stickers (Blue Gingham or Pink Gingham)
- You can decide if you want to use Teddy Grahams or Gummy Bears
If you have our tags, you can punch a hole on each side:
Then put the Twine/Raffia/Ribbon through the holes and tie it in a bow around the back:
Another option would be to use clear bags. If you saw our post yesterday, you can put them in clear bags, tie with ribbon and attach a tag. Here’s another cute way to do them with a sticker. Fill the bag with the Teddy Grahams or Gummy Bears:
Wrap a ribbon around the bag vertically and bring the ribbon together at the front. Then, put the sticker right in the middle. You could always add a little piece of tape before you put the sticker on just to make sure the ribbon stays together.
I love doing Valentines’ treat bags like these because they are something even little ones can help put together.
This was such a fun idea that one of my clients, Amanda, came to me about not long ago. I LOVED the idea! This is a perfect idea for young children. Here’s a quick tutorial about how you can use our “Cerealsly Cute” Valentine.
Cerealsly Cute Valentine Tutorial
- Cereal (I used Froot Loops, because of their vibrant color, but you can use any fun cereal)
- Ribbon or Raffia (available on our website)
- Clear Cello Bags (available on our website)
- Hole Punch
- Our Cereal Valentine tags: Primary Brights (left below) or Sweet Colors (right below)
Fill the bags with the cereal (yummy!)
Funny how quickly my little one ran over to “help” as soon as I started pouring
the cereal in the bag. Try it, it will probably work at your house, too, ha!
Put a hole in the corner of the tag with a hole punch
Tie on a ribbon & tag
Done… simple & cute!
Now, that is the kind of little goodie bag I like!
I cannot believe how quickly this month is passing by! October always seems to fly by with us prepping for the holidays, but this year I just don’t know where the month has gone. If it is passing by as quickly for you, you may not have thought about those Halloween treat bags for the kiddos at school, so we wanted to give you some inspiration. If you missed Jen’s creative “Trick” or “Treat” ideas earlier this month, go here and you can see them.
Our treat tags and stickers are on our website and you can add them to a variety of items to add a personalized touch. These photos are from our display at Fireflies & Fairytales in Birmingham, AL. These items are available to purchase in the store and will be available through Halloween.
Here, Jen personalized one of the stripey lime green bags with one of our cute stickers and she stamped the name on the sticker.
These lollipops were purchased at a dollar store and Jen added the cute stickers & tags.
I love this one…
Punch a hole in the top and bottom of a tag and tie twine through to wrap around the bag.
Hope these ideas get you thinking about a spooky cute treat this Halloween!
